6.5.19 - The beginning of the Second Recension of the Meccan Revelations (Damascus, 632/1235)
After finishing the first version of the Meccan Revelations, Shaykh Muhyiddin began writing a new modified edition, where he added some statements in some places and deleted in others, as he asserted .
Perhaps this raises some legitimate questions against his claims at the beginning of the book as we mentioned in section
effutuhat1e above, as well as in his other books, that their order is not based on his own reasoning, but all what he writes is revealed to him through divine and spiritual inspiration. However, this subject of transcription applies even to the Holy Quran in order to emphasize the “rule of time” on the course of events. God Almighty can put the creation in their final ranks without having to go through all the temporal events in life, but this is not what He did. Therefore, there is the so-called Preserved Tablet, and yet there is the tablet in which God can erases and confirms: (Allah eliminates what He wills or confirms, and with Him is the Mother of the Book) [Quran: 13:39].
Therefore, the amendment made by Shaykh Muhyiddin on the first recension of the Meccan Revelations does not conflict with the fact that it came through inspiration as we have seen in section
effutuhat1e above, but that the amendment itself is also an inspiration.
However, this second recension will not be finished before 635 AH as we shall see further in section
effutuhat2e below.
