5.3 - His Third Trip to the North (608/1211-611/1214)

In fact, there are no strong indications to support what we will mention in this period from 608/1211 to 611/1214. It seems that Shaykh Muhyiddin had left Mecca to Anatolia, possibly Konya or Malatya, and then returned to Aleppo in 610/611 before returning again in Mecca during the year 611, but it is not excluded that he had passed through Damascus on his way forth and back, as well as Medina, and we will explain the reasons for this conclusion by detailing this journey in the following paragraphs.

However, the other possibility, if the previous conclusion is not correct, is that he remained in Mecca throughout this period from 608/1211 to 611/1214. It is also possible that he had gone to other places such as Iraq, especially since it seems from his statements, especially in Tarjuman Al-Ashwaq, which he wrote its poems during this period, that his experience in Iraq may go beyond his two short visits to Baghdad in 601 (twelve days) and 608 (no more than a month) as we’ve seen above.
