6.5.1 - Reading al-Abadilah (Syria, 22 Thul-Qiidah, 626/1229)

On the twenty-second of the month of Dhul-Qidah in 626 AH, Shaykh Muhyiddin, may Allah be pleased with him, was listening to the reading of this book with Muhammad Ibn Ismail Ibn Sawdakin and Muhammad Ibn Ishaq al-Qunawi in addition to Abu Bakr bin Muhammad al-Balkhi, and the reader was Mansour al-Maqri [OY: I.139].

The book of “al-Abadilah” is one of the important books by the Greatest Shaykh, may Allah be pleased with him, where he mentioned the words and states of a number of Abadilah, those who are named “Abdullah”, and this is not necessarily the real name, but a description of their state, and anyone described as Abdullah is a pole.

The characters that Shaykh Muhyiddin mentions and recount some of their biographies are not known men in history, but they are descriptions of some of the saints who were before Shaykh Muhyiddin, may Allah be pleased with them, but we do not find their biography in any other history books or biographies.
