3.7.1 - The Book of the Key of the Locks of Inspiration (Ceuta)

However, we know from the analysis of some texts that Shaykh Muhyiddin has written a book in Ceuta, that’s the book of Miftâ? aqfâl al-ilhâm al-wa?îd wa-i?â? ishkâl i’lâm al-murîd fî shar? a?wâl Abî Yazîd (RG 461): the Only Key for the Locks of Inspiration and Explaining for the Seeker the States of the Imam Abu Yazid.

Although this book is still missing without any known manuscripts, but the Shaykh mentioned in the Index that Allah ordered him in a vision to write this book while he was in Ceuta, so when he woke up he had two scribes to to write two parts of this book before sunrise.

It is most likely that this was done during this passing through Ceuta, because he mentioned this book in his other book of al-Qu?b wa-l-imâmayn (RG 585): the Pole and the Two Leaders, which seems to have been written in Fez in 593 AH as we will see further below.
