2.7.1.3 - The Book of Utopia

In Marchena also, the Shaykh saw someone reading the book of Utopiafootnote(This is most probably the book of Abu Nasr Muhammad Al-Farabi, known in the West as Alpharabius (257/870-339/950), who was a renowned philosopher and jurist often called as “the Second Teacher”, following Aristotle who was known as “the First Teacher”. In this book, Alpharabius believes in a utopia governed by prophet and his successors: the Imams.. Ibn al-Arabi had not seen this book before, so he took it out of the hand of that person and opened it to see what was in it. Allah! Shaykh was surprised by this, and he threw back the book to its owner [Futuhat: III.173].

However, it should be noted that in the famous Cairo edition of the Meccan Revelations, in [Futuhat: III.173] just cited, it is said that the author of this book of utopia is some of the people of infidelity (kufr), whereas in the original manuscript autographed by Ibn la-Arabi, the famous Konya manuscript, he stated that he is one of the people of thought (fikr). Throughout all his extensive writings, Shaykh Muhyiddin never insulted or used any heinous phrases, even those whom he may strongly disagree with.

In the Duality of Time book, that is the second volume in the Single Monad Model series, we explained that, with the realization of the inner levels of time, it is possible to attain all the weird microscopic quantum behaviors, such as quantum tunneling and time travel, without breaking the speed of light limit set by the theory of Relativity. For example, we explained in the first volume of the Single Monad how it was possible for “that who had knowledge of the Book” to bring the throne of the queens of Sheba from Yemen to Palestine “before the twinkling of an eye”, while it arrived stable, unshakable, as described in the Quran: ((Said one who had knowledge from the Book, “I will bring it to you before your glance returns to you.” And when [Solomon] saw it placed firmly before him, he said, “This is from the favor of my Lord to test me whether I will be grateful or ungrateful.”)) [Quran, 27:40].
